We need an ecosystem that builds talent early, holistically and communally.
Across every arena I’ve competed in — from the Olympics to 20 Grand Slam titles — one truth has guided me:
Champions are built, not born.
Champions emerge when talent is nurtured with mentorship, structure, and above all, a community that believes in them.
India possesses extraordinary potential. What we need is an ecosystem that builds this potential early, holistically, and communally.
The Flying Man Academy is that ecosystem.
This vision is deeply personal.
Long before I stepped onto Centre Court or an Olympic podium, I grew up immersed in elite sport through my father, Dr. Vece Paes — an Olympic medalist with India’s gold-winning field hockey team at the 1972 Munich Olympics, and one of the country’s most respected sports scientists
Over six decades, he has worked at the highest levels of global sport — with organizations such as the BCCI, International Tennis Federation, All India Tennis Federation, FIFA, the International Hockey Federation, the Indian Rugby Union, and the Indian Olympic Association — shaping athletes, systems, and sporting policy.
Together, my father and I represent over 100 years of lived experience in elite sport — across competition, science, governance, and mentorship.
The Flying Man Academy is our way of passing that knowledge forward.
My vision is bold, heartfelt, and anchored in India’s future:
To nurture 250 million young athletes over the next 20 years, across diverse Olympic
disciplines — not just to create champions, but to build healthier, stronger, more
disciplined generations.
This is the legacy I want to leave behind.
At KIIT and KISS, I witnessed something rare - state-of-the-art facilities merging with a world-class environment, grounded in compassion, equality, and community upliftment.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta’s commitment to education and social transformation moved me deeply.Together, we envisioned a place where:
This Academy stands on that shared purpose.
We believe great athletes are built from the inside out. True success comes from mental clarity, emotional balance, physical strength, and spiritual resilience.
We focus on building better human beings through:
Here, sport is not just training — it is a transformational journey.
Our training methodology combines cutting-edge sports science with proven Olympic techniques to maximize athletic potential and performance excellence.
Elite training programs include:
Train with world-class facilities and expert guidance to reach Olympic standards.
We celebrate Indian heritage and values while preparing athletes to compete on the world stage with confidence, skill, and cultural pride.
Our global approach delivers:
Compete globally while staying connected to your roots and values.
My father introduced me to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KIIT and KISS. Our shared dream — to empower millions through education and sport — united us in purpose, philosophy, and devotion to the Tiranga.
Together, we are building a world-class model of what sport and education, when united, can achieve for an entire community.
It is an honour to begin this journey here.
Through my foundation, I aim to share the collective knowledge that two generations of my family have dedicated to human sciences, performance, excellence and achievement.
I am committed to:
“I am grateful for this opportunity at KIIT and KISS, and I am committed to carrying this mission across India and across the world”
